The Missing Bunny
A story about learning to solve a problem
Published by Gert Smit
The Missing Bunny is dedicated to my beautiful daughter, who have been my muse ever since she was born. This book is my first attempt at being an author. I wrote the story many years ago and shelved it, due to other priorities.
One of the reasons it had to wait, was because I needed to find a suitable illustrator. By a stroke of very good luck, I met Marianna Raye in 2022, who brought the characters to life with her amazing talent for illustration.

The story is about a little girl with a big problem. Her dad believes that she must learn from a young age to solve her own problems and thus choose to guide her in doing so, rather than give her the answer.

The story is a child friendly roller coaster ride of emotions, which ultimately does have a happy ending. She triumph by finding her bunny before falling asleep.
Writing, editing and publishing this children's story book, have been a huge learning curve and it has motivated/inspired me to do more of the same.
I think that most people will agree that it is quite an achievement, no matter how popular or successful it proves to be in the commercial sense.

The Missing Bunny is a complete trial run for me in terms of getting my creative work showcased in the public domain and living a passion for storytelling, as well as embarking on a new phase of my life, with a brand new mission and feeling of purpose.
